    ISO19650: Information Mgt For BIM

BIM applications have focused primarily on the design and construction phase of projects, however, the the operations and maintenance (OM) phase of a project represent over 70% of the lifes costs.
Thus it is vital that the creation of an Asset Information Model (AIM) is acheived as early as possible, a model that can provide graphical and non-graphical data and information as well as documents and metadata.
An AIM can be created from existing asset information systems, from new information, or from information in a Project Information Model (PIM) that was created for the construction of a new asset.
